All the workshops of Prima Danse have been reviewed by specialized professionals of each social themes.


Workshop to raise awarness of youth hypersexualization

This workshop is the result of meetings with Jade Marquis, Claudine Lévesque and Maxime Samson. Ms. Marquis is the author of the research paper entitled Study of Aesthetic current popular music video choreography (2009-2012) under the advertising rhetoric and sexualization, she is an interpreter (UQAM), choreographer and contemporary dance teacher (Troup of the Cégep of Saint-Laurent). Claudine Samson graduated in sexology and has specialized throughout her work experience in intervention with teenagers. She developed and facilitated many workshops on sexuality education in various youth communities. Maxime Lévesque, BA in sexology, has contributed to the training and ethics guide of the workshop animators.

Workshop to raise awarness of bullying 

It is Nika Naimi who has reviewed the content of this workshop. Master in Culture and Values in Education of Integrated Science Department of Education at McGill University, she is also a lecturer in the certificate program in cyberinvestigation and cyberfraud at the Polytechnic School of Montreal. She is currently a consultant in cyberbullying.

The self-affirmation workshop

was reviewed by Natacha Condo. Ms. Condo has been working in counseling with individuals and families for over fifteen years. She practiced in various settings including special rehabilitation center for addictions and CLSCs. In addition to private practice, she worked as a health promotion adviser in the health and social services. Member in good standing of the Order of psychoeducators and psychoeducators Quebec, she is also a member of the Canadian Association for Mental Health.

The workshop to raise the awarness of sexual stereotypes related to homosexuality

has been reviewed by the Institut Pacifique. The Institut Pacifique is a non-profit organization that develops, since 1976, programs and services to promote skills in conflict resolution and mediation with young people from preschool care up to high school. Known for the quality and reliability of its program, the Pacific Institute trains each year more than 105,000 young people in peaceful conflict resolution.

Projet RAD offers inclusive urban dance classes for people with special needs (ex: intellectual and physical disabilities, dysphasia, etc.).

Tel-Jeunes offers free counseling service, anonymous and confidential to all young quebecers under 20 years old. A professional counselors team is available at any time, by phone, by email, Ch@t, forums and now by text message. They are there to listen to young people, support them and inform them on a variety of topics of concern.
