Awards, grants, achievements
Throughout the years since it was founded, Prima Danse has received numerous awards, bursaries and grants and carried out a variety of joint projects with other organizations.
- Funding from the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough for the “place Shamrock” project.
- Financial assistance from the ministry of Culture and Communications through the project assistance program for youth culture and leisure (Aide aux projets nationaux en loisir culturel des jeunes).
- Grant from the Forum jeunesse de l’île de Montréal [Montreal Youth Forum], in partnership with the Montreal regional council of elected officials, for a joint project to develop a program to raise awareness of hypersexualization through dance.
- Financial assistance from the city of Montréal’s Inclusion and Innovation program and from the ministry of Culture and Communications.
- Financial assistance over a two-year period from the Caisse Desjardins De Lorimier-Villeray’s Community Development program.
- Financial support from the city of Montréal through its program for artists and organizations involved in cultural-leisure activities (Artistes-animateurs en milieu de loisir).
- Participation in SEXOclic, a Web-based interactive space produced by the Montreal Public Health Agency and the ministry of Education, Recreation and Sports, and present during the site’s launch in late 2013.
- Development of a dance program learning and evaluation situation for the Pointe-de-l’Île school board.
- Winner of the best socio-economic project by the civic engagement organization Institut du Nouveau Monde.
- Grant from the social economy investment fund (FIES) of the local community development corporation CDEC Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie
- Recipient of the Raymond Blais bursary
- Winner of the Ovation competition organized by Desjardins
